Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Registered as a Certified Laboratory Phlebotomist with a national certification agency or ASCP, or show proof of pending recertification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Positively identify patient before obtaining specimens for laboratory testing.
• Skillfully collects blood specimens from patients of all ages using correct tubes and handling.
• Performs clerical functions and utilizes the Lab Information System to manage orders and results.
• Collects urine drug screens for pre-employment, for cause, and accidents.
• Maintains inventories of specimen collection supplies in designated areas.
