Job summary

Talentify is seeking a dedicated laboratory support professional to collect and process blood specimens and perform multiple clerical and processing functions. The role operates Monday through Friday from 7a to 4p at our Michigan location.

Key duties include setting up and sterilizing instruments, handling specimens, ordering add-on tests, and performing data entry and registration tasks. Strong adherence to safety and infection control protocols is essential.

• Orders add-on tests, manages pending lists and resolves duplicate orders.
• Performs clerical tasks including phones, ABN reviews, data entry and filing.

Collects and processes blood specimens for testing and performs multiple clerical and processing functions.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up instruments. Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
• Receives, centrifuges, accessions, processes and transports specimens. Verifies all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy.
• Orders add-on tests, works pending lists, and resolves duplicate orders.
• Performs clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), data entry and filing.
