Job summary

Eden Capital Careers is seeking a Phlebotomist in Oceanside, CA to join a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Shifts are 6 AM–6 PM, 8 hours, Monday to Friday, with weekend rotation and travel to PSC locations as needed.

The successful candidate will have a valid phlebotomy certification, venipuncture experience, and proficiency with MS Office. Mileage is reimbursed and transportation must be reliable.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data
• Decontamination and updating patient information
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results
