Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position in Oceanside, CA. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and processing with a 6AM–6PM schedule, 8-hour shifts, and weekend rotation.

The contract lasts about 3 months, with potential for extension and mileage reimbursement for travel to PSC locations in Vista and Encinitas. Requirements include valid phlebotomy certification, 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens.
• Label specimens and ensure accurate tracking.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain equipment as required.
• Record maintenance data and update patient information.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly to patients.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend department trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
