Zusammenfassung

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking an experienced phlebotomist to provide timely blood collection and specimen handling in a clinical setting. You will perform venipunctures and skin punctures across all ages, entering orders in the LIS and ensuring proper specimen labeling and patient identification.

Responsibilities include processing specimens for in-house and reference lab testing, instructing patients, and assisting with training of new staff.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate preferred; ASCP preferred.
• BLS certification obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Prior phlebotomy experience or completion of approved program required.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Perform venipunctures and skin punctures competently for all ages.
• Enter or retrieve test orders in the LIS accurately.
• Instruct patients on proper specimen collection and handling.
• Process specimens for in-house and reference lab testing.
• Prioritize STAT and routine orders and communicate with staff.
• Assist with training of new phlebotomists and aides.
• Maintain compliant labeling, patient identification, and safety procedures.
