Baptist Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform phlebotomy per established safety protocols and to handle specimens within the Laboratory Information System (LIS) accurately. You will label, transport, centrifuge, and aliquot specimens, prioritizing STAT over Routine and distributing results as appropriate.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred Phlebotomy or Registered Medical Assistant certification, and experience in hospital settings across various

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy or RMA certificate preferred.
• Experience in hospital settings including pediatric, geriatric, oncology and neonate patients preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform phlebotomy in accordance with established National Patient Safety Goals and Baptist Health protocols.
• Receive specimens into LIS accurately, label, transport, centrifuge and aliquot specimens.
• Distribute specimens to testing section per priority (STAT over Routine).
• Fax and distribute results as appropriate; maintain knowledge of department policies and procedures.
