Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a phlebotomist for a Scarsdale, NY facility. The role is a 3+ month contract-to-hire with a pay rate of $22.50–$24.43/hr on W2, located in Scarsdale, NY 10583.

Shift is Mon-Fri 8am–4:30pm, with every other Saturday 8am–12pm; pay rate based on experience and qualifications. Duration is 3+ months, with potential for contract-to-hire and growth with a top-tier organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Active Driving License.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood from patients of all ages.
• Label specimens and complete requisition forms accurately.
• Adhere to procedures for waived testing to ensure accuracy of results.
• Handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
• Perform ECGs and monitor patients during procedures as directed.
• Prepare manifests for specimens sent to external labs or for transportation.

Job description

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Scarsdale, NY. This is a 3+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Scarsdale, NY 10583

Pay Rate: $22.50 - $24.43/hr. on W2.

Shift: Mon - Fri 8am to 4:30pm, every other Saturday 8am to 12pm

Duration: 3+ months

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
• Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
• Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results
• Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
• Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers.
• Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.
• Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
