Job summary

Premise Health in Elko, NV is hiring a Full-Time Phlebotomist to serve employees and dependents in a Health Center. Shifts are 4x10 from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Tue–Fri, offering long weekends.

You’ll work independently, support supply management, and may train new staff while following strict infection control and safety procedures. Certification and state requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Current national certification in Phlebotomy or a certificate/diploma with externship completed.
• CPR/BLS certification with hands-on evaluation required; online courses not accepted.
• State Lab Certificate required within 6 months of hire (NV only).
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in healthcare or 100 hours clinical externship completed.

As a Full-Time Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Elko, NV. The scheduled hours are 8:00am- 7:00pm, Tuesday- Friday (4x10 shifts). Enjoy long weekends!

What You’ll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures.
• Assists with supply inventory.
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees.
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment.
• May require other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
• State Lab Certificate required within 6 months of hire (NV only).
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $17.60 - $22.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
