Job summary

Premise Health in Elko, NV seeks a Full Time Medical Assistant to support the Lab and float to other clinical areas. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, maintain records, and prepare treatment rooms.

This role includes medication administration, lab tests, EKGs, front desk tasks, and scheduling. Eligible candidates have national MA certification or accredited program with externship, and current BLS certification; state NV lab certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a national MA certification or an accredited MA program with externship completed.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Elko, NV. This position will primarily support the Lab and float to other clinical areas as needed. The scheduled hours are 4x10 shifts of 8:00am- 7:00pm, Tuesday-Friday. One weekend per month of Sat & Sun, 8am-2pm may be required as needed. Enjoy fewer workdays!

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
