Qualifications

• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma with hands-on externship completed.
• CPR (BLS) certification with hands-on skills evaluation; online courses not accepted.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only).
• State Phlebotomy Tech Certification (CA, WA and LA).
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting or 100 hours of clinical phlebotomy externship completed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with supply inventory and stocking.
• May instruct phlebotomy procedures to new employees.
• Adheres to BSFHC infection control guidelines and MSDS/safety rules.

As a PRN Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Countryside, IL.

About the role:

• Alternating Saturday's from 6:30am-12:00pm.
• Additional PRN shifts as needed.
• Must have strong phlebotomy skills, EPIC experience is a plus!
• Our employer health clinic is located near Midway Airport

What You'll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
• May require other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on' evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.

• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
