Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full-Time Phlebotomist to provide care for client employees and their dependents at the Health Center in Rio Rancho, NM. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The role requires current national phlebotomy certification (or diploma with externship) and CPR with hands-on evaluation. A nutrition of benefits and comprehensive training are included, with additional company-matching wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Current national (or state) phlebotomy certification from Premise Health approved organization or a diploma with hands-on externship.
• CPR (BLS) certification with hands-on evaluation; online courses not acceptable; meets AHA standards.
• State Lab Certificate (NV) as applicable.
• State Phlebotomy Tech Certification (CA, WA, LA) as applicable.
• 6 months to 1 year phlebotomy experience in healthcare or 100 hours clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Works independently following safety policies and procedures.
• Assists with supply inventory and ordering.
• May instruct new employees on phlebotomy procedures.
• Adheres to infection control guidelines and safety procedures; knows MSDS location and emergency equipment.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full-Time Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Rio Rancho, NM.

What You’ll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
• May require other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.

• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
