Pride Health is hiring a Float phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Deltona, FL. This is a 6+ months contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Pay Rate: $22 - $25.50/hr. on W2. Shift: Mon- Fri 6am-3pm; Saturdays 6am-12pm. Duration: 6+ months. Floaters travel between sites and must be on time. Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience and active driving license required.

• 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Active driving license.
• Flexibility to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for all ages.
• Label specimens and complete requisitions accurately.
• Perform EKGs as directed and monitor tracings.
• Ensure specimen integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Float between multiple sites as needed.

Pride Health is hiring a Float phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Deltona, FL. This is a 6+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Pay Rate: $22 - $25.50/hr. on W2.

Shift: Mon- Fri 6am-3pm; Saturdays 6am-12pm

Duration: 6+ months

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
• Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
• Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results
• Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
• Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers.
• Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.
• Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
• Floaters travel in between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Minimum 3 year of experience as a phlebotomist required.
• Active Driving License
