Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I to support a medical facility in Leesburg, FL. This is a 5-month assignment with potential contract-to-hire. The role involves blood draws, specimen processing, labeling, and maintaining accurate patient information.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience, with strong attention to detail and patient communication. Schedule: Tue–Sat 6:30am–3:30pm ET.

• Ability to perform blood draws, labeling and specimen processing with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand physician orders; match requisitions to specimen tubes and labels.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.
• Ensure test requisitions or labels match scripts for 100% correctness.

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I to support our client’s medical facility in Leesburg FL 34748 location. This is a 5-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Leesburg FL 34748

Duration: 5 Months+

Pay rate: $19.85 - $21.26 PER HOUR

Schedule: Tuesday thru Saturday 6:30am to 3:30pm (eastern) /Off every Sunday and Monday.

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.
• Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.
