Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking two full-time Philosophy faculty members for Germantown and Rockville campuses, starting Spring 2027. Duties include teaching a range of Philosophy courses across modalities, advising, and committee work.

The positions are part of a collective bargaining unit. Qualified applicants will have a Master’s in Philosophy, LMS proficiency, and experience teaching diverse student populations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Philosophy or closely related field with depth and breadth in Philosophy.
• Experience or development training with diverse student populations.
• Experience or development training on effective technology use in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of Philosophy courses across modalities (face-to-face, online, hybrid).
• Meet 30 semester hours per academic year with potential summer courses.
• Participate in committees, advising, and professional development.
