Job summary

Mercy Health Information Technician position is responsible for processing PHI requests in compliance with regulations and supporting providers with documentation. You will manage scanned records to ensure quality and productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and medical terminology knowledge.
• Experience in HIM/medical records or related field is preferred.
• RHIT or RHIA certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processes and fulfills requests for protected health information (PHI) in compliance with regulations.
• Addresses provider questions regarding documentation and basic chart corrections.
• Manages scanned medical records to meet quality and productivity standards.
