Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical terminology.
• 1 year in HIM/medical records department or related field.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology; some college preferred.
• RHIT or RHIA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill requests for PHI in accordance with regulations.
• Address provider questions regarding documentation and perform basic chart corrections.
• Manage scanned medical records to ensure quality and productivity standards.
