Job summary

CSL Vifor in Springfield, MO seeks a donor pheresis technician to prepare the autopheresis machine and monitor donors throughout the process. You will respond to alarms, disconnect the donor after completion, and use a PDA to record incidents and link equipment to donors, while maintaining data integrity in the donor information system.

Safety, confidentiality, and accuracy are essential as you adhere to SOPs, HSE, and OSHA policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
Maintain alertness to any donor reaction during or after the process and notify staff.
Record incidents during the pheresis process using PDA, including machine alerts, alarms, volumes, and donor events.
Link equipment and supplies used to the appropriate donor in the donor information system.
Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow SOPs, HSE and OSHA policies.
May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
