Job summary

CSL in Schenectady, NY is seeking an Apheresis Technician to support donor collection operations. You will prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process and ready the autopheresis machine.

You will monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms, disconnect the donor when finished, and maintain accurate donor data in the electronic system while upholding HSE and OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after the procedure and notify staff.
