Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor center technician to support the pheresis process. You will prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment, and ensure the autopheresis machine is ready for use. You will monitor donors, respond to alarms, disconnect when finished, and record incidents using a PDA.

This role requires basic math, attention to safety, and the ability to maintain accurate donor data and a clean work environment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available as needed.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety in all actions.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
