Job summary

CSL is seeking a dedicated technician to support donor pheresis procedures. You will prepare donor, area and equipment, and set up the autopheresis machine to ensure smooth processing.

You will monitor the donor, respond to alarms, record incidents in the PDA, link equipment to donors in the system, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. This role requires a high school diploma and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for pheresis.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms.
• Disconnect donor when the process completes.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff.
• Record incidents using PDA; link equipment to donor in PDA.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic donor information system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety in actions.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
