Job summary

CSL Vifor seeks a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis, and to prep the autopheresis machine. You will monitor donors, respond to alarms, and disconnect donors when procedures finish.

Use the PDA to record incidents, link equipment to donors, and alert supervisors to flow issues while ensuring accurate donor data per SOPs and maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents on PDA, including machine alerts, alarms, and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in pheresis to the donor in the PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper-immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization’s discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
