Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a donor processing technician to prepare the donor and pheresis equipment, monitor the process, and respond to alarms. You will record donor data, ensure safety, and maintain a clean work environment in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three months of medical environment experience. Basic math skills are required. This is a full-time on-site role in Dayton, OH with pay described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
• Records incidents and equipment/donor data using the PDA.
• Links equipment and supplies to the donor in the donor information system.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data and follows SOPs.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and ensures supplies are available.
• Maintains donor, personnel, and center information confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
