Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• California centers require phlebotomy technician certification or RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture to initiate the pheresis process and monitor the donor.
• In compliance with SOPs, perform pheresis procedure including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment alarms and document incidents; ensure donor safety and product quality.
• Educate donors about the donation process where applicable and maintain donor confidentiality.
