Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor pheresis support professional to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis, monitor processes, and respond to alarms. You will record incidents, ensure accurate donor data entry, and follow SOPs while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities include preparing the autopheresis machine, disconnection after completion, and assisting with donor safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in a medical/health provider environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and machine alarms using the PDA, and link equipment and supplies to the donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
