Job summary

The role requires attention to safety, adherence to SOPs, and the ability to respond quickly to alarms, document incidents with a PDA, and maintain confidentiality of donor information. Cross-training and overtime may be required, with bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 months' work experience in medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process and responds to alarms.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
• Records incidents and donor data using the PDA per SOPs.
• Links equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Maintains confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Follows HSE and OSHA policies and promotes safety.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization's discretion.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
