Job summary

CSL Plasma in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Part Time Donor Support Technician to assist in the pheresis process. You will prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment, and monitor the process while responding to alarms.

You will also record incidents and donor data per SOPs and ensure a clean, safe environment. The role requires a high school diploma, 3 months in a medical setting, basic math skills, and may require bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Uses PDA to record incidents that occur during the pheresis process and link equipment to the donor.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Follows all HSE and OSHA policies and procedures and promotes safety.
• Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization, to meet the needs of the business.
