Job summary

CSL Plasma in Austin, TX is seeking a Donor Center Technician to prepare donors, the donor area and equipment for the pheresis process, and to monitor the donor and equipment during the procedure. You will document incidents and ensure accurate donor data in the electronic system following SOPs.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe work environment, adhering to HSE/OSHA policies, and potentially cross-training in other areas. Bilingual skills may be required depending on needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months work experience in a medical/health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment links in the donor information system.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data recording per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adequate supplies.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and maintain confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
