Job summary

CSL Plasma in El Paso, TX is seeking a Phlebotomy/Pheresis Technician to prepare donors, equipment, and donor areas for the pheresis process. You will monitor the donor and system, respond to alarms, document incidents with the PDA, and ensure accurate donor data entry according to SOPs.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work environment, adhering to HSE/OSHA policies, and potential cross-training in other areas.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
Record incidents with the PDA, including machine alerts, alarms, and donor events.
Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the donor information system.
Record donor data accurately in the electronic management system per SOPs.
Follow policies for hyper immune programs where applicable.
Maintain a clean, compliant work environment and ensure supplies are available.
May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
