Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment data using the PDA, including alerts, volume variances and adverse events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in pheresis to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow HSE and OSHA policies.
