Job summary

CSL is seeking a dedicated pheresis support professional in Charlotte, NC. The role involves preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis process, and autopheresis machine setup. You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when complete.

Accurate data entry and adherence to SOPs are essential. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three months of relevant medical experience, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment (or equivalent).
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and equipment data using the PDA, including alarms, volume variances and donor adverse events.
• Link equipment and consumables to the appropriate donor in the donor information system according to SOPs.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety in all actions; maintain donor and center information confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs; bilingual skills may be required.
