Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a dedicated staff member to support the pheresis process in our donor center. You will prepare the donor, area, and equipment, monitor the process, respond to alarms, and ensure donor safety throughout the procedure.

The role involves accurate data entry in the donor information system, maintaining supplies, and following SOPs, HSE, and OSHA policies. Cross-training and bilingual abilities may be required to meet center needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider setting.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment/consumables to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Follow Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required as needed.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
