University of Maryland, Baltimore is seeking an Academic Support Services Specialist to provide primary support to the PhD program and auxiliary support to other SON programs. The role requires independent judgment to help develop objectives, resolve issues, and contribute to program goals within the Office of the Academic Deans.

The position involves collaboration with SON, The Graduate School, and UMB departments to ensure student success, admissions processing, and timely progression.

Qualifications

• Two years of administration of a program.
• Experience in higher education or healthcare setting preferred.
• Clery Act designated job as campus security authorities (CSA) member and will comply with Clery Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Associate Dean for the PhD Program.
• Oversee daily operations and set priorities.
• Monitor and manage program funds and budgets.
• Coordinate PhD admissions, progression, and graduation requirements.
• Develop training materials, website content, and promotional materials.
• Prepare and analyze program financial statements and reports.
