Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our collaborative team.

You will help build a service‑oriented pharmacy that develops positive relationships with patients while ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient care to achieve the best outcomes for patients, teammates, and the company. You will be part of a team that emphasizes compassion, accuracy, and customer service, with responsibilities ranging from order processing to prescription transcription and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with state board.
• Experience: 0–6 months preferred.

Responsabilités

• Welcome patients with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Process orders in person and by phone; refer questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat, clean work environment meeting company and government requirements.
• Assist team to keep the department running efficiently.
• Use pharmacy computer to maximize efficiency and patient care at drop-off, will call, drive-thru, phone, filling and order receiving.
• Follow HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine sales policies.
• Finalize sales according to POS procedures.
• Transcribe data from prescriptions accurately to generate custom labels for customers.
• Assist with maintaining proper inventory levels by ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating drugs and supplies.
