Giant Eagle is seeking an eager Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our collaborative team. You will help build a service-focused pharmacy that develops strong relationships with patients, while ensuring safe, accurate and efficient care under the pharmacist's supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and eligibility to obtain registration as a pharmacy technician with the state board. The role requires 18+ years of age and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• 0–6 months experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Eligible to obtain pharmacy technician registration with state board
• Age 18+ and able to lift up to 25 pounds
• HIPAA and safety policies must be followed

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with compassion at the pharmacy entry and direct them as needed
• Assist in processing orders and providing patient information under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain a clean, organized work area complying with company and regulatory requirements
• Support team to ensure efficient pharmacy operations
• Use pharmacy software to process prescriptions, manage inventory, and handle billing at the point of sale
• Assist in achieving service and performance metrics and participate in trainings
