Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the state board of pharmacy.
• 0–6 months of experience in a pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with compassion at pharmacy entry points.
• Assist with processing orders in person and by phone and refer questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to ensure the department runs efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions and maximize efficiency.
• Assist with company initiatives and complete required training and exams.
• Follow policies including HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine sales.
• Finalize sales using cash register according to procedures.
• Transcribe prescription data to generate customer labels.
• Maintain inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating drugs.
