Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and acknowledge them with compassion and a smile at all pharmacy entry points.
• Model excellent patient care by engaging with patients and directing questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to ensure department runs efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions for efficiency and patient care at all touchpoints (drop-off, will call, drive thru, phone, filling, order receiving).
• Assist in executing company initiatives and programs.
• Complete required training and exams.
• Follow all policies and regulations, including HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine sales.
• Finalize sales using cash register according to procedures.
• Transcribe data from prescriptions to generate customer labels.
• Maintain inventory levels by ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating drugs and supplies.
• Answer telephone politely and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer questions by communicating with customers and staff efficiently.
• File written prescriptions daily.
• For Long Term Care: may perform medication cycle exchanges and audits on-site at service facilities.
