Giant Eagle is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee in Ohio to join a collaborative team focused on safe, accurate, and efficient patient care. You will help build a service-conscious Pharmacy team and develop strong relationships with patients while supporting core pharmacy operations.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma and eligibility to obtain state registration as a pharmacy technician; 0–6 months experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.
• Experience required: 0 to 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and immediately acknowledge them with compassion and a smile at all pharmacy entry points.
• Model excellent patient care by engaging and meeting or exceeding patient needs, including processing orders in person and by phone.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members with tasks to ensure department runs efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions for efficiency and patient care at drop-off, will call, drive thru, phone, filling and order receiving.
