Qualifications

• Experience 0–6 months
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the state board of pharmacy
• Lifting up to 25 pounds
• Age 18 or older

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly at pharmacy entry points and assist with their needs
• Assist with processing prescriptions in person and by phone, and refer complex questions to the pharmacist
• Keep a neat, compliant work area and follow policies
• Support team to ensure efficient department operations
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions for drop-off, will call, drive-thru, and orders
• Support execution of company initiatives and programs
• Complete required training and exams
• Follow HIPAA, pseudoephedrine sales rules, and other regulations
• Handle cash register per POS policies
• Transcribe prescriptions accurately for patient labels
• Maintain inventory by restocking and rotating drugs and supplies
• Answer phones courteously and ensure customer satisfaction
• Resolve customer questions and coordinate with management and staff
• File written prescriptions daily
