Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent degree; college coursework preferred.
• Maintains Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician licensure.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or potential to sit for exam within 6–12 months of hire.
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office; comfortable with internet apps and pharmacy systems.
• Strong customer service and clear verbal/written communication with patients and staff.
• Attention to detail in a high-paced environment to avoid medication errors.
• Ability to multi-task and reprioritize while maintaining accuracy and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Know and act in accordance with the Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service when interacting with patients and staff.
• Enter patient data into pharmacy systems and process insurance billing and co-pays.
• Assist patients in resolving issues and refer questions to the pharmacist on duty.
• Coordinate delivery of prescriptions and medical equipment as needed.
• Rotate to all assignments and shifts based on business needs and demonstrated competency.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, compounding, repackaging, dispensing and sales.
