Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to rotate through pharmacy assignments under a pharmacist and group leader. You will assist in preparing medications, manage patient information for billing, and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff in a fast-paced setting at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

The role requires RI tech licensure, CPhT within 12 months, completion of drug screening, and strong computer and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must maintain Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician licensure.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required within 12 months.
• Pass a drug screen per Rhode Island state law.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparing, formulating and packaging medications.
• Interact with patients and staff to obtain information for prescriptions.
• Enter patient data into pharmacy systems and ensure accurate billing.
• Coordinate with case management and promote pharmacy services.
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies and quality initiatives.
