Job summary

Mission Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to perform advanced and basic technician functions, ensuring timely dispensation and accuracy. You will support quality management and take on leadership duties as assigned by pharmacy management.

The role requires a High School diploma, national certification (CPhT), active state registration, and at least 3 years in hospital pharmacy. Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor degree and ASHP/ACPE advanced certification.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician Specialist is responsible for accurately performing advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner. They assist in total quality management of the distributive functions of the department by performing all the duties of a Tech I and Tech II position, and they also perform specialized duties and/or leadership roles as assigned by the pharmacy management team.

Qualifications
  • Required Education: High School Graduate/Equivalent
  • Preferred Education: Associate or Bachelor degree
  • Required License: National Certification (CPhT), Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the State Board
  • Preferred License: ACPE or ASHP Advanced Certification
  • Required Experience: Minimum 3 Years Hospital Pharmacy Experience
  • Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in the specialty areas as determined by hospital needs
