Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Miami, Florida. Job description

Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will dispense medications, maintain drug inventory, and accurately update patient records under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.

Responsibilities
  • You will fill medication orders requested by physician or pharmacist and deliver to patient care and other areas.
  • You will dispense controlled substances with proper documentation; count discrepancies and report any suspected diversions to the pharmacist.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring there is an adequate stock of medications and supplies, according to established policies and procedures.
  • You will assist ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and related supplies in the appropriate locations, rotating stock and replacing outdated and unusable drugs.
  • You will pick up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
  • You will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing work assignments; responding timely to urgent and routine requests.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Active Registered pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern, as per State requirements, with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy is required.
