Job summary

Walgreens is expanding its pharmacy micro-fulfillment centers that use robotic technology to dispense and ship prescriptions to Walgreens stores. This role supports a central pharmacy operation that aims to reach thousands of patients with life-saving medications daily.

You will enter registrations, process prescriptions, and assist pharmacists across locations, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and upholding data accuracy. A technician license must be obtained within 90 days and kept active.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic PC skills and ability to operate a computer and online forms.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient data and new registrations into the system per procedures.
• Process prescription requests and refill orders following HIPAA guidelines.
• Troubleshoot missing information and interpret medical abbreviations.
• Run automated machinery, sort medications, and manage inventory workflow.
• Count, label, pack, and ship prescriptions; maintain workspace.
• Resolve third-party rejects by correcting data and resubmitting.
