Job summary

Walgreens is expanding its pharmacy micro-fulfillment centers, a high-tech central pharmacy environment that uses robotic systems to dispense and ship prescriptions to Walgreens stores. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will process new patient registrations, enter orders, support pharmacists, operate automated machinery, count and fill prescriptions, and help maintain clean, safe operations.

You must obtain an active technician license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use online forms.

Responsibilities

• Process new patient registration by entering data into the system.
• Handle prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders.
• Troubleshoot missing information and interpret SIG codes.
• Run automated machinery, sort medications, and manage inventory workflow.
• Count, fill, label, pack and ship prescriptions; maintain clean, orderly work area.
• Support pharmacists at multiple locations and escalate issues to senior staff.
• Obtain and maintain an active technician license within 90 days.
