Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support micro-fulfillment operations, including data entry for patient registrations, processing prescription requests, and assisting pharmacists across locations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, English fluency, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Basic level PC skills (start up/shut down, use mouse, print, access information online)
• Basic Search Engines skills (navigate, type URLs, bookmark, fill forms)
• Intermediate keyboarding (≥25 WPM)
• Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible shift
• 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Process new patient registrations by entering data into the system according to Walgreens procedures.
• Handle prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
• Troubleshoot to obtain missing information and interpret SIG codes.
• Run automated machinery, sort medications, and manage inventory flow with quality control.
• Count, fill, label, pack and ship prescriptions; maintain a clean, orderly area.
• Resolve third-party rejects by reviewing and correcting data and resubmitting per plan requirements.
• Provide assistance to pharmacists and communicate issues to senior staff as appropriate.
