- Under the direct supervision of pharmacists, this position is responsible for performing all functions of a Pharmacy Technician I, assisting pharmacists with data collection and entry of patient demographics, answering phones, checking in and stocking medications. Responsibilities include verifying expiration dates, operating the cash register, running reports, managing refill voice messages, and other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. Excellent customer service must be maintained at all times.

- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy - Required
- Core Job Functions
- Filling prescriptions accurately with correct medications and source documentation for pharmacist review. Properly bubble-packing medications for SOURCE/nursing homes as needed.
- Entering patient data into QS/1 system, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, returning medications to stock, and disposing of labels appropriately.
- Processing customer payments accurately via cash, check, credit card, or payroll deduction, and closing out registers properly at day’s end.
- Identifying and restocking outdated medications, returning excess stock to wholesalers, and maintaining a neat and orderly pharmacy environment.
- Greeting customers courteously, addressing issues promptly, and ensuring respectful communication both in person and over the phone.
