Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Austin, TX is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for production duties in our North Austin facility. You will label and dispense prescription orders and may prepare unit dose packaging for delivery, either by hand or with packaging machines.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active TX State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Ability to complete projects promptly.
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.

Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• Prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) as directed.
• Pull pre-packed blister cards and affix prescription labels as needed.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills & Abilities

• Must possess an active TX State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly.
• Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
