Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Austin, TX is hiring a Shipping Clerk to sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare products for shipment. This role supports our long-term care pharmacy serving clients nationwide.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and work with the shipping and distribution team and with Pharmacists and Technicians.
• Understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping.
• Ability to develop continuous improvements in the shipping department.
• Ability to learn locations and organizational structure of the company.
• Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medications.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.
• Must be able to speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Use Pharmacy operating software and Dispatch and Routing software.
• Use handheld Scanner to capture bar code digital information.
• Prepare packages for delivery: print Packing Lists, inspect for accuracy, stage, and route.
• Performing other duties as assigned

As a Shipping Clerk, you will sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare products for shipment.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a Plus
• Experience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, speaking, listening
• Must be able to occasionally lift bulk packaging weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to traverse close quarters easily
