We are seeking a dedicated Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team at HCA Florida South Shore Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider. This PRN position involves preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining records, and supporting hospital pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities include:

1. Counting, packaging, and labeling unit doses for pharmacist inspection.
2. Assisting pharmacists with filling orders and preparing labels.
3. Performing quality control and auditing to ensure medication availability.
4. Preparing IV mixtures and operating automated pharmacy systems.
5. Maintaining inventory and performing clerical duties.
6. Contributing to hospital improvement initiatives and adhering to reporting guidelines for medical errors.

Qualifications required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State certification as a Pharmacy Tech; national certification (CPhT) preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and prescription drugs.
• Strong customer service, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
