The role you’ll contribute:

Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships. The primary responsibilities include medication distribution, assisting pharmacists with preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will perform duties for the effective daily operation of pharmacy services, including responding to medication requests, preparing medications for pharmacist review, delivering medications, and managing unused or expired medications.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Perform all pharmacy technician functions and maintain proficiency in hospital and pharmacy computer systems and operational programs.
• Utilize medication automation, technology, and electronic health records accurately.
• Support medication safety by identifying and reporting potential errors such as look-alike sound-alike medications.
• Participate in medication use process improvements.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience needed to succeed:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of hospital pharmacy experience (retail or ambulatory experience acceptable for medication history in lieu of hospital experience).
• Sterile Compounding & Aseptic Technique-IV Certification.
• Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) or current, valid State Pharmacist Intern license, if applicable.
